A LOSS OF HOPE--AN UNFINISHED STORY

Several months ago a man here in Southern California was laid off from his job of over twenty years. It has been devastating to him and his family. He has an outlandish mortgage payment, two new cars, and a stay-at-home mom who cares for three grade school children. Times have been extremely difficult for this family. His unemployment recently ran out adding to the uncertainty in the family.

Unemployment strikes at a man’s ego, his manhood, his self esteem and his hope. He certainly has great difficulty in having a vision for a better life for himself and his family.

Tough times like these always seem to put a strain on the marriage. Tempers erupt often and peace is nowhere to be found. This family is surrounded by nothing but despair and darkness. Prosperity and joy seem to be out of the question. What does the future hold for this family?
